Was the President from 1929 to 1933
He lost both his parents at the age of 10, went to Oregon with his sister to stay with his uncle
He was part of the first engineering class in Stanford, became an expert in geology and mining
He made many people rich by his knowledge in mining in Australia and he also became very rich and lived in London from 1902
Organized helping stranded Americans in Europe during WW1, helped organize food relief in Europe after the end of WW 1.
Became secretary of Commerce under Harding and Coolidge, managed food relief during Mississippi flood in 1927.
Easy won the Presidential election after Coolidge but became really unpopular due to stock market crash of 1929 and lost the next election to FDR
