President from 1897 to 1901
He was assassinated during his second term in September 1901. He was succeeded by Teddy Roosevelt
McKinley fought during the civil war. After the war, He coauthored 12 volume book on Civil War
McKinley was a congressman and the governor of Ohio, before he became the President
Spanish American war occurred during his presidency. Teddy Roosevelt, who participated in this war became very famous. So Teddy was nominated as McKinley’s vice-president during the second term
He was shot while attending the world fait in Buffalo, NY. Initially, the doctors thought he was going to survive but he died after his health turned for the worse.
